Description: The OOH module is based on the latest edition of the Occupational Outlook Handbook, published by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). The content of the OOH greatly exceeds that of the job descriptions in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT). The OOH's 3 million characers of text provides extensive information about several hundred career areas, including sections on Nature of the Work, Employment, Job Outlook, Earnings, Related Occupations, Training Guidelines, and Sources of Additional Information.
The OOH topics are directly indexed to over 7000 DOT job codes and to over 350 SOC codes. Over 85% of the jobs in the U.S. economy are addressed by the OOH and this information is updated every 2 years by the DOL.
The OOH data is accessible via a topic index or from other Pro3000 modules, such as the Career Planner or the DOT module.
