Description: This module is a criterion-referenced assessment instrument that uses adaptive testing techniques. It measures a person's knowledge, skills, interests, and abilities as they relate to jobs and training programs, using the rating system of the Revised Handbook for Analyzing Jobs and the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, both developed by the U.S. Department of Labor.
Computerized Assessment provides 13 computer based subtests plus 3 short work samples and a paper/pencil survey. All results are gathered directly by the computer and scored automatically. The system is designed to be administered by one evaluator to an individual or small group, and requires 60 to 90 minutes.
Typical Uses: Assessing individuals from middle school to adult who are making career choices for placement into jobs or training programs. Appropriate for career exploration.
