Description: The PET Survey is a paper and pencil survey that evaluates 44 DOT factors - 20 Physical Demands, 13 Environmental Conditions, and 11 Temperaments. A single evaluator can administer the survey, in whole or in part, to an individual or group of evaluees. The results are entered into the computer and automatically scored.
The evaluee is presented with a series of statements and is asked for two responses. Each statement consists of a definition of a factor, followed by several job task examples requiring the factor. The evaluee indicates the degree to which s/he possesses the factor and the degree in which they are interested in such work. This produces two profiles that can be used by other Pro3000 modules - an ability profile and a preference profile.
Typical Uses: Evaluation of individuals from middle school to adult, who are making career choices for placement into jobs or training programs.
