On-Site Training
If you need customized training, please consider On-Site
Training or talk with us about scheduling a Regional Training in your
area. The fee for on-site product training for up to 10 people is $750.00 PER
DAY plus trainer's expenses. A fee of $50.00 per day will be charged
for each additional person beyond the first 10. ($1200.00/day for Job Analysis
Training, plus trainer's expenses. A fee of $100.00 per day will be charged
for each additional person beyond the first 10). For more information

Valpar International Corporation awards Certificates of Attendance to all
trainees that include the course title(s), date(s), and the number of Course Contact Hours
earned.
Cancellation Policy: If you or another member of your staff are
unable to attend a training program for which you have already
registered:
- A full refund will be made if cancellation is received at least
14 days prior to the first day of training.
- NO REFUND will be made if cancellation is received less than
14 days prior to workshop.
Minimum enrollment is required for all training sessions. VALPAR
reserves the right to cancel any training program, with responsibility
limited to the full refund of program tuition only. We advise that
you make refundable airline reservations.

General Information
- Relationship of Pro3000 module to the Department of Labor databases
and the Revised Handbook for Analyzing Jobs (RHAJ)
- Use of the Worker Qualifications Profile as it relates to both
jobs and people
- Background and development of Pro3000 as well as target
population groups and potential service areas
- Entering customized data identified as necessary by your facility
- Administration and scoring procedures for COMPASS, COMPASS LITE,
GOE Survey, PET Survey, and the Spatial Aptitude/Non-Verbal
Reasoning Survey.
- Generation, interpretation and use of reports available through
all Pro3000 modules
- Customizing all Pro3000 reports and adding personal
observations and comments
- Building a composite Work History Profile, generating a Work
History report, and use of the profile in searching for jobs

A101 AVIATOR
(2-day training)
- Relationship of Aviator to the Dictionary of Occupational Titles
(DOT) and the Revised Handbook for Analyzing Jobs (RHAJ)
- Use of the Worker Qualifications Profile (WQP) as it relates to
both jobs and people
- Creating and maintaining the Aviator database, which includes
Manager, Evaluator, Client and Activity Records
- Common Aviator operations: signing on; moving around in the
software; and collecting, viewing, saving, restoring data
- Entering and defining custom Aviator system information, such as
disability/ethnicity/source codes, client demographics and facility
titles
- Administration and scoring procedures for the Aviator Skills
Assessment, Spatial Perception Assessment and Pictorial Interest
Surveys (both Forced Choice and Rank Order formats)
- Navigating and understanding the Aviator "Explorer" and "Match
List" screens
- Generation, interpretation and use of Aviator reports, including

- Setting up various plans, teacher rosters and student sign on
- Common operations of managers and teachers: curriculum setup and reassigning curricula and career pathways

- Job Analysis - what it is and how it can be used in employment and training
situations
- Understanding and using DOL methodology to develop custom job profiles

M102 - Magellan Curriculum
(1-day training; Prerequisite: M101) This training provides
participants an overview of the Magellan curriculum and how to effectively use it in
the classroom. In addition, it provides answers to the bigger questions: When do we
teach the curriculum? Where? To whom? How can using the curriculum help to develop a
portfolio for each student? What about special needs students and the IEP? How do we
develop a plan that becomes part of our high school or middle school system rather than
a short-term project? Course presented by Dr. Cinda Johnson, Assistant Professor and
Director of the Center for Change in Transition Services, Seattle University College
of Education, Seattle, WA, and author of the Magellan curriculum.
M103 - Training on Transition Services, Best Practices and System Change
(1-day training)
Providing transition services to students in special education is mandatory from age 14,
yet school personnel struggle with how to do this in the arena of school reform and high
academic standards. This training focuses on best practices that include functional vocational
evaluation, personal futures planning, connecting with adult agencies, and developing
manageable and realistic transition plans and IEPs. The one-day training includes planning
time in addition to information and resources. Course presented by Dr. Cinda Johnson, Assistant
Professor and Director of the Center for Change in Transition Services, Seattle University College
of Education, Seattle, WA, and author of the Magellan curriculum.
P201 - Advanced Pro3000 (3-day training; Prerequisite:
P101) This session is customized
to meet the needs of attending participants. Topics addressed may include: In-depth
interpretation of assessment results; Advanced database search logic; Building a local
database using profiles and descriptions from the DOT Database; Power of Factor Application
Coefficients and Potential Increments in searches.
